Who I am
Variant Studio is a UK video ad studio. For anything about your data, email variantstudio4@gmail.com.
What I collect
- Messages you send. If you email me or message on Instagram, I keep your name, contact details and what you send (for example your website and product photos) to reply and to make your sample ad. I keep these for up to two years after we last speak, or until you ask me to delete them.
- Visit statistics without cookies. The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views and visits in aggregate. It does not use cookies or local storage and does not track you across websites.
- Google Analytics, only if you accept. If you choose "Accept" in the cookie banner, Google Analytics sets cookies to measure how the site is used. If you choose "Reject", nothing is loaded from Google.
- Server logs. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from attacks.
Cookies and similar storage
| Name | Purpose | Type | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
| vs-consent | Remembers your cookie choice (stored in your browser, not a cookie) | Strictly necessary | 12 months |
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics: distinguishes visitors and sessions | Analytics (only with consent) | 13 months |
Lawful basis
Replying to your enquiry and making your sample: legitimate interests, or steps before a contract. Google Analytics: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the button above.
Who processes data for me
Cloudflare (hosting and cookieless analytics), Google (Gmail, and Google Analytics if you consent) and Meta (Instagram messages). Some of these providers may process data outside the UK under safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to its use, or withdraw consent. Email me and I'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how your data is handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
